I've been waiting till we are further along in the process to share that we are officially buying a house!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
After renting for 6 years, 5 of those years being in our current rental house, it is so exciting to be taking this step.
The new house is in the middle of town within walking distance of our favorite park.
It has 3 bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, a fenced in back yard, a full garage, and all of the appliances (including a dishwasher!).
It was well within our budget and is completely structurally sound.
It'll be a great place to foster our girls, host small group, and hopefully host family or out-of-towners visiting our church overnight.
It needs a lot of cleaning up, new flooring (the previous owner had 10-15 cats), and fresh paint.
We'll rent our current house for at least another month to give us time to work and move in slowly.
Right now we're right on the cusp of officially making it ours so all I'm doing is pacing back in forth in my mind planning and scheming and designing and making lists.
I have been able to start going through all of our stuff, getting rid of anything we don't want to move with us.
We can't wait to finally be able to get in and make it home.
Our hope in taking this step is that we could own a place to use for God.
It is His.
Of course it's a blessing to us but we have a vision to always give it back to Him to use as He wishes.
