Clean and comfy

I saw that today was supposed to be cold and wet so I decided not to get a job for today. Instead it was a deep cleaning day.

We're still waging war on the lessening number of fleas on kitty. By the way, we are definitely winning. But because there are still one or two left (and I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about fleas thanks to Google search) I am paranoid about those survivors reproducing and taking over the house. So I've been concentrating on vacuuming and mopping all the floors, washing all the towels used after bathing kitty, and cleaning out the vacuum cleaner.

Plus we have the usual laundry mess and dusting that needs to happen.

Oh, a little free tip from me: remember to open your windows every once in awhile. Even when it's cold (actually especially in the winter) the fresh air naturally deodorizes and removes nasties from your home's air. Even if they're just open for a short amount of time, it will amaze you at how clean everything feels afterwards.

Snuggled up after another bath.

Things have been accomplished in the Conner household today and that makes me happy.

I can't wait til kitty is totally flea free. He's been quarantined in the bathroom since we got him but I really want him toddling around with us. Soon, I hope.

(oh I just realized we've had him a full week....... and he still has no name. Agh. I'm so indecisive)

The ground (and my emotions) has leveled out again....as expected

OK here I am back on solid ground. Thankfully.

Which, especially this week, is essential because Thursday is Thanksgiving day. I'm really looking forward to it :) We're with Adam's family this year.

Oh look at this. It's so funny

Look closely

This was done

by this.

Just in case you missed it, squirrels have been eating my pumpkins. Ha I think it's so funny. I'm going to leave them and see how long it takes the squirrels to eat the pumpkins.

Yay.

Half way through the mayham

There is officially only 2 full weeks of regular classes left for this semester. Remember that sad and whiney list of things I needed to get done for school? It's half way finished. Woo stinkin' hoo!

At this point, I'm just trying to make it to Thanksgiving break. That is ging to be so nice. :)

At the moment though I am proof reading my art history paper. It's due at tonight. That'll be nice to be done with.

The group from our church that went to Germany is doing great from what I've heard. They've been posting pictures up on facebook. I'm living vicariously through them :) I think everyone who was left home is.

I miss Ally and Monique. It's not like I see them a lot through the week or anything but just knowing that they're so far away makes me miss them. It'll be good to have them home.

I wonder what they'll bring back (wink wink)

Oh and I just thought of this earlier. I don't think I've mentioned some good new that my friend ( I would call her one of my best friends), Grace, shared with me quite some time ago: She and her husband are pregnant! She's into her second trimester now. She went in to hear the heartbeat a couple weeks ago and she's due in May. So happy for them.

An update on Mr Mouse: I haven't seen the aweful creature since Monday night. I haven't had a truly peaceful moment at home since either. Everywhere I go in the house I peak around corners and stomp to anounce my coming and give him time to scurry away. eghk. I hate mice.

Pain in the back

In mid july I was playing volleyball, went to hit the ball, and errchg. Thats how I felt as my back bent in a very uncomfortable way. I got over it ok pretty soon but within this last month or so my lower back has gotten increasing painful. This morning I woke up at 6with shooting pain : / I have to be on campus by 9 so I've just taken tylenol and put a heat pack on the spot trying to get it bearable before I have to go.

We have a couple of friends who regularly go to a local chiropractor for preventative health care. We've been wanting to go and might have to soon.

I sure hope today isn't ruled by this pain. There's quite a bit to be done. And i just want to be in a better mood. Maybe these will help
