A Simpler Pace

In these last few weeks our pace of life has slow down. This happened not just naturally due to the end of our class semesters, but for the last few months Adam and I have had very intentional conversations about slowing down. I would call the time after spring break to the end of the semester (about 2 months) phase one. Now we're in phase two. We set guidelines about how we would spend/plan our time and now we're living within those.

And it's all a wonderful mercy. We have time. Time to invest more into each other, more time for our teens, time w/ family, time serving/helping others, time to enjoy what God has blessed us with. Time, time, time.

(I just got to that place after you say or look at a word too long you start thinking "What a weird word: time. The letters t,i,m,e mean something when lined up right. tiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmeeeeee." Do you do that?)

Anyways, yea. We are both feeling that we're entering a season of change. We're not sure what those changes will be or look like exactly, but this reining in of our commitments seems to be preparing us for something. And we are enormously excited about whatever they may be.

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
