Summer Jam.....& stuff

Instead of doing a VBS thing every summer, my church puts on a day camp. In the past it always lasted a week but this summer they're stretching it out all through the month of July! It's called Summer Jam and every Tuesday and Thursday our church has open doors to children k-5th grades. We do games, a lesson, full lunch, crafts, life skill lessons, and sometimes a movie.

Today was the first day and it was a blast! The kids were so into it, there was so much volunteer support to help run the activities, and God was there enjoying it all with us. My friend Betsy and I are in charge of the crafts. I put on today's craft project and we made bicycle license plates...... I forgot to take pictures
:(.......bad blogger. There're many summer jam days left in the month though. I'll make sure to get a photo bomb or two in.

Now it's all over for the day and we're gearing up for plans tonight and then plans for the 4th tomorrow. Tonight Adam and I have a meeting about that Berlin mission trip we'll be going to in the fall. We really haven't heard much so it'll be good to get some set dates and price point. That's always one of the most intimidating pieces of doing a mission trip: the cost. It's a very real concern and it's hard not to totally forget God and try to take care of it on your own. But if we are truly meant to go, He will provide.

Then tomorrow we just have a family stuff. I'm not overly excited. It's been so hot and dry here, most fireworks displays have been postponed. I don't think there will be a pool where we're headed so that's kind of a boo-crapper too............. Well, I just turned out to be a joy, didn't I? I think I need a nap.

Oh I almost forgot! When we went to my family's reunion on Saturday we took a picture of EVERYONE. TOGETHER. I don't know when we last had this solid of a group together. I love it.

ok.......that's it........see ya
