Party Lite

Recently I did one of those party things where a whole bunch of women get together and get sold a whole bunch of crap they don't need i.e.: Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, 31... You know what I'm talkin' about. They're fun but do you really need another overpriced tube of lipstick?

Anyways I went to a Party Lite party my sister was throwing as a housewarming thing. They sell candles, candle paraphernalia, and other smelly-goody things. I hadn't seen her new house so of course I went! I make sure NEVER to buy anything from these things though. If I need it, I'll put it on my shopping list and pick it up for a REASONABLE price when it's convenient. I'll "ooooo" and "awwww" with the best of them, but I'm not buyin'. This time though, when it was all said and done, I was throwing my own party. Agh! how? How did this happen?

Agh. Whatever.

So that happened.

Then today, the big box of stuff that my guests had ordered was sitting on my porch. All that junk does make for some happy mail, I have to say. :)

What's not to love about a big, giant box?

Box full of (*cough*unnecessary*cough) stuff.........

They made a list and I have to check it twice

Bubblewrap! yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
The big bubble kind too! Ah, the small things :)

Looks like we got all our junk, er, a, lovely smelling candles and paraphernalia

Because I had so many orders,
I did get $50 in free hostess credit towards anything I wanted.
So I selected some lavender and rosemary scented oil and
a small lamp that holds a votive.
I mean to use the oil as body oil. It smells heavenly.
(oh and did you catch that? $50 buys not very much. Overpriced I tell you)

Opening that huge order of smelly-good candles has made my house smell brilliant. Adam's not going to know what hit him when he walks in.
