Updated curtains

I jumped on my desire to do some space updating. My first move was curtains.

As you can see, what was originally up was super light and airy.
If I lived on my own I would leave it just like this.
But I want our space to represent the man who lives here too.

So I headed to the store with a budget of $20 to dress three windows.
After looking through everything in the curtain aisle, of course I found tons that I loved.
But non of the options fit my budget. Then idea!: How about twin size, flat bed sheets?
We had a winner and for $5 each, it couldn't be beat.
Curtains: $15

I got what I came for and headed home.
I cut each sheet in half with pinking shears.
This will keep the fabric from fraying until I get around to hemming them.

I threw those sheets in the dryer with a wet cloth so they could be steamed to smoothness.
While those smoothed out, I installed the BASIC rods I bought for $1.50 each.
Rods: $5

All finished!
I left the airy curtains up and used the navy curtains to frame each window.
This room is beginning to man up.
