In the doldrums

Totally in the doldrums today.

It's just a gray wet freezing day outside, there's so much that needs done around the house and for school, places to go and actually BE at (as in mind, not just body), and obligations to meet.

Guh

Isn't the word "doldrums" such an apt word? It says exactly what I'm feeling in a way that seems slightly whimsical. Like I'm trying to be upbeat and motivated, but so far notta happenin'.

Boo.

Honestly this post is pretty much over but I don't want to get off. I know if I end it, I'll feel like I need to actually DO something other than just sitting here on my bum......which is what I really want to do. Sit. And sleep. And then go get a cookie.

Ok. Goals for the next hour:

• make bed
• put clean dishes away
• run vacuum

OK. I can handle that.
