Tomorrow's Halloween (as if you hadn't heard) and I feel like it kicks off the holiday season.
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all within 3 months time means a lot to prepare for.
This year we've heard possibilities that we may have family staying with us for the first time during one or two of those holidays.
Luckily, we have an extra bedroom.
UN-luckily it looks like this right now:
It's pretty much just a large closet.
It's a disorganized jumble of art projects and supplies, sports equipment, and exercise equipment we can't even seem to GIVE away.
There's also some furniture in there that just doesn't work anywhere else and was just shoved in there
My hope is to make it a good space for guests not only for this holiday season but all year long.
There have often been times when we've wanted to host a church guest or give one of our teens somewhere to crash but didn't really have a good place for them other than on the couch in the middle of our house.
My to do list here:
So that's it and I hope to have it evolved into something hospitable by Thanksgiving..... we'll see
:)
I'll post it when it's all finished.

My to do list here:
- get rid of the workout equipment that we don't use
- move our futon in (replace its spot in the living room w/ other seating)
- buy a dresser of some sort to store my art supplies with space reserved for guests to put their things.
- put up some neutral curtains and hang some calm art (Even though I kind of like it, the wallpaper is obviously kinda crazy)
So that's it and I hope to have it evolved into something hospitable by Thanksgiving..... we'll see
:)
I'll post it when it's all finished.
