Life Update

Because fostering has just become life this week :)

First off, loving this new BIG HUGE change.
Our girl is full of fun and sweetness and wonderfulness.
She is a joy to love.
We are blessed to have her in our home.

But...... life with a baby is DIFFERENT.
Way different than life with just yourself and your man.
I mean yea, I expected some differences, major differences but did you know how awesome moms are?
I had no idea!

So yea this new foster mom is learning and being challenged for sure.
Blessed daily and challenged daily.
A 12 month old with respiratory issues, a double ear infection, and teething is a challenge in and of itself.
All of that thrown into the pot overnight is just something God's got to be all over.

And you want to know the very coolest part of everything so far?

He totally is.
He is keeping my head above water and I feel myself bobbing up.
A week in and I think (fingers crossed) I may just be getting the hang of it sorta kinda.
I'm sure it all just change on me again (because that's what happens in life) but He is providing all that we need.......and that includes nap times :)

  1. I'm really loving reading these updates on this new season, it seems every turn you and Adam take in life is full of updates, challenges, and many many blessings! Your realness is so refreshing, and I can sympathize how different things are with a little around. Poor girl! Hopefully she will feel better soon, have you tried warm rice bags for her ears? Sometimes that really helped my kids, other times they were distracted and couldn't stop playing with them :)

Today in my bible I read 2 Corinthians 2:19:
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

I went to God with all my frustrated shortcomings and struggles from the past few days and when I read this verse this morning, I knew it was for me! Maybe it was for both of us! So the weaker we are and the more we struggle, the more we realize our need and dependence on Him and the more He is glorified. So it looks like we're both doing pretty good then :)
