Informal boycott over

I wasn't ever really boycotting Facebook but I did delete my account back at the beginning of February. It was a great choice. Recently though I wanted to enter myself in an online contest and part of the entry was "liking" the pages of several sponsors. Soooooo I went ahead and revived my Facebook account. I went back and forth on if I really wanted to do it or not. I really liked not having an account. I might just decide to have periods of  Facebook detox. I don't know. It really doesn't matter that much. It's just a social tool. It just seems to be one that is really easily misused and has high potential for being very negative. If I sense that it becomes that for me again, I won't hesitate to close my account down once more.

What are your thoughts? Have you had Facebook struggles?

Some good thoughts:

  • God is good. ALL the time.
  • Last night it stormed. Love sleeping during a storm. It feels so safe to be in bed while everything is rumbling and pouring outside. Also all my plants are getting watered without me standing over them with a hose.
  • There is a friendly cat newly roaming our neighborhood. I like to scratch it behind it's ears. It likes to scare me by darting out from beneath my car in the morning.
  • Only 27 days til Berlin!
  • I'm having a good hair day :)

  1. I've seriously been considering a facebook hiatus too! Especially with the election coming up - I don't know if I can handle seeing everyone's hateful comments. I really am loving Instagram right now as an alternative form of social media - I like that I can be more picky with who I follow!

Thanks for your comment on my blog - so nice to "blog meet" :)
