Babyland Update

This morning we woke up to snow!
Woop!

And not really a baby update but I did end up buying a nice big, new plant last week.
It's one I pictured here in this post. I cant find the name though. Update: The plant is a Dracaena Marginata or a Dragon plant.

Anyways, back to those babies.....

Peanut, our little one, is growing like a weed!
She started sitting on her own a couple weeks ago.
She's scooting around, nearly crawling, and can get to all her toys now.
She's getting pretty grabby for Sweetums' sippy cups.
She's eating anything mashed up.
The only thing I've seen her totally reject was some mushed spaghetti we had the other night.
I wouldn't mind if Peanut would slow down on the mobility front.
When she does get to a cord or something she shouldn't touch and we say "No" it totally breaks her little heart and she melts into tears.
She had a checkup last week and had a bit of an ear infection.
We'll have to go back in a few days for her shots.
Peanut will do this laughing chortling sound and she sounds like a little goat.

Sweetums is SUCH a sweetie.
She calls Adam Pop.
Her vocabulary has been exploding these last few months.
We've had some issues with whining but 9 times out of 10 it's just because she doesn't know how to say what she wants.
Anytime we take a second to slow down, ask what she wants, and give her the right words or way to say it, she calms right down and things smooth out.
She is such a helper and loves to do what we're doing.
She's gotten into watching movies lately.
She'll pull her bean bag chair and squishy blanky from her room, plop down, and really watch the story.
It's become really nice for these long cold winter days when we can't do much out of the house.
She loves her friends at church and is starting to know them by name.
She loves it when we read to her and will sit and look at pictures on her own.

The future is unclear for these two but the present is so much fun!
We love them like our own and are having a blast watching them grow.
They are sweet, loving, tender girls and I will love them always.
